Glam rock

Glam rock is a sub-genre of rock which adds elements of glamour, camp, and sexual androgyny. Also called "glitter rock," the genre was popularized in the late 1970s in the UK and USA.

The glam rock movement has had strong influences on glam metal, punk, new wave, and goth.
