Gary Lee Weinrib, better known as Geddy Lee, is a Canadian musician best known as the bassist and lead vocalist for the band Rush. He was born on July 29th, 1953 in North York, Ontario, Canada.

In the March 2009 issue of Heeb Magazine, Lee self-identified himself as a "Jewish Atheist". "I consider myself a Jew as a race, but not so much as a religion. I'm not down with religion at all. I'm a Jewish atheist, if that's possible... I celebrate the holidays in the sense that my family gets together for the holidays and I like being a part of that. So I observe the 'getting together' aspect." [1]

Lee originally sung with a powerful high tenor, though his vocals have become more tame as he's aged. He usually uses a Fender bass.

Lee's current, and best known act is the band Rush. He was in a Canadian supergroup called the Big Dirty Band for a project in 2006.
